This piece was hand-carved in wax then silver electroformed. This is a slow metal forming process of sterling silver layers conductively deposited on the wax. Layers are applied until the plate itself is strong enough to be self-supporting. Electroforming although complex offers light-weight pieces for the look of chunky, large, bold free form jewellery at 1/3 of the price.
The price is for the pendant only. The leather with sterling silver ball and catch is free.
